Great but for the spherical aberration in the cornersby RDAnys - November 19, 2006
Pros: Always available in the shirt pocket
Cons: Needs bright light; corners of pictures distorted
Review:
This camera is very handy, and everyone who sees it is impressed, especially since it is several years old now and the latest small cameras are STILL a LOT bigger. If you're a perfectionist DON'T get it 'cause the spherical aberration around the edges will drive you nuts.

Great camera to have if you don't have a cameraby - March 21, 2004
Pros: With this camera, you must be realistic. It is not designed for great photography; that's what my Fuji S7000 is for. But I don't always have my S7000 with me. The Logitech takes adequate outdoor shots, and passable indoor shots if the lighting is very,
Cons: No flash, no LCD monitor, limited features, but...you get what you pay for. (I got mine free, so what do I have to complain about? Thanks, Mom.)

Buy The One with a Flash!by - December 10, 2003
Pros: Sleek, light, and sturdy. Stainless steel body with a bright Flash. The software is very easy to use***
Cons: Close-ups too bright from flash...Needs more memory; Only holds 44 pictures at high resolution, Not the 50 that are advertised.

Not a bad little cameraby - October 15, 2003
Pros: Size of the camera (portability). Size of the memory. Outdoor daytime photos are very nice. Easy to set up and use. Price. If you are looking for the above features (which I was), this is the camera for you. If not, then stay away.
Cons: No flash. Camera has a timer, but I don't know what use it is since the camera is so small you can't really set it up to anything. Indoor pictue taking leaves a lot to be desired.

Interesting mosaic-like imagesby - April 24, 2003

This cam's idea of megapixel (interpolated) is a sort of washed out almost watercolor type image. Not great for serious photos, but interesting nontheless, and the form factor is very slick. I kind of like the images, although it's no substitute for a real digicam, or even a disposable film cam. FYI...no flash -- it needs like to get an image.

I am impressed by the size and price of this camera that's why I bought it. Photo quality is really awful for regular picture taking but if you're just going to use it to post it on your website then it may be for you. I cannot recommend it for its indoor picture taking, they came out very dim to almost black. I was going to take pictures of items in my house that I want to sell on Ebay or Craigslist but it looks like that this would be one of the items. Not also good for night time even if all the lights in your house are on. If you like a 'take it anywhere' camera and would only take picture outdoors during the daytime, then this is the camera for you! This and the similar but thinner Creative CardCam use the same Autobrite technology from Smalcamera. Both cameras still don't do a good job...wait for the 2nd generation.

This is my First Digital Camera, I never used a camera very much before but because this one is soo small its hard not to carry it with you where ever you go, sadly its not good in dark locations but that is small price to pay. For the size, picture quality this is a good camera.

It's not exacly from Logitech, the inner parts are from www.smalcamera.com !! I like Logitec products in general, but here they made a big mess... First, it's not a 1.3 Mega pixel camera ... it's a 640x480 !!! so why they do this? Second, Logitech made it very thick ... why?! Compare it with the siblings Axia EyePlate from Fuji or with the same models from RadioShack and Oregon Scientfic, you will see that those SAME cameras are much more thinner! Ok, Logitech puts 16 MB in it and the original has just 8 MB, but 8 MB is enough for the right usage of this camera, that is 26 pictures. The right usage is: Have it ALLWAYS with you, i.e. in your wallet, or with your Rex6000 (Credit Card size 4mm thick PDA with touch screen!). It's made for taking "documentary" pictures. And this is great! In how many situations you asked yourself: why don't I have a camera now? The wrong usage is: It's my main camera... and I expect to make 35mm-like pictures Positive (I have an Axia EyePlate from Fuji!, the sibling model): - Great 640x480 pictures that dont need to be corrected on a PC - Great batteries (I never run of batteries) - Just plug it into the USB and you will download the pictures with a absolutly simple and good software (included) AND during download it will charge the batteries

) - The size is amazing! Negative (I have an Axia EyePlate from Fuji!, the sibling model): - Forget about taking any night pictures or even indoor pictures, it's to dark - Hold the camera absolutly still and press the shutter slowly, a small movement will make the picture unsharp

HOWEVER, this camera is great to use as a SECOND camera, as i have just bought a Cybershot P9, i don't really care what quality it produces, as long as i have a picture of something viewable.

The images this camera takes are barely recognizable if not taken in bright daylight. Since there is no flash, dim lighting causes substantial blurring. Due to this constraint the camera is useless in most situations. It?s cute, but don?t waste your money.

This is definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for.' I bought this camera with the expectation of compact convenience, not feature rich quality. To this end, I'm not disappointed. It takes good shots in daylight... perfect for the web. If you are looking for a high quality digi camera for indoor use, look elsewhere (Sony, Cannon, etc).

Wow, what a neat idea. A camera that can fit easily into your pocket. Well, that is about all this piece of junk can do. It presents a great idea in technology by its small size and sleek design, but you must be joking about this image quality. It is quite frankly the worst I have ever seen in my life. Don't be fooled by what is said about this product on Logitech's web page. I have given it optimal lighting conditions, but half of the pictures come out blurry and the ones that are clear are hardly 640x480. If you want to turn on all the lights in your house to take a little snap shot; well, you might as well forget it. They come out so dark that you wonder "how did the picture of this black hole get in here?" I'm I to give Logitech the benefit of the doubt and say that perhaps they forgot to test the camera before they put it into mass production? No, of coarse they did, but they decided that they spent too much money on it already and just shipped it off. As for product support if you couldn't figure out how to read the instructions on your own, then they post related questions regarding the use of your camera on-line. Support for stupid people, but no area for posts between actual owners since Logitech is unwilling to talk about the camera?s problems. Well, I guess I know what Logitech considers to be a quality product and thus, will never buy from a company again that knows their product is terrible yet pushes it on its customers (supporters) any way. PS to Logitech: Stick to mice, it's less complicated.

Low Light Lemonby - October 7, 2002

Ok i didn't expect too much for the money but i have to say in low light it is awful. I know it doesn't have a flash but indoors in what seems like resonable illumination one word springs to mind for the pix it takes. Black. No amount of Photoshop or any other software you are going to find is going to sort those images out. Outdoors on a bright day it gave me the images that i expected. Reasonable shots for the outlay. Though i think Logitech should have a good hard look at what they are marketing and tell people that it will not work after dusk or indoors at all, unless you bring your own floodlights!!!

I bought this camera when I was leaving the US and heading out of the country on a business trip and didn't want to spend a lot on a digital camera. I wanted the ability to quickly send pics to my family while living out of a hotel room, and didn't have time to do a lot of research on digital cameras. I quickly found out that this camera won't take good pics indoors, even when ambient light should be good enough to capture a photo on a film camera. The pics I've taken outdoors are not good quality, but for the price, what do you expect? They're good enough to send home and keep the the family informed. I'm looking for something better quality now, and think that I've found what I want, it's just going to cost quite a lot more money. I would only buy this again if I couldn't afford a 3 megapixel camera, and even then you should be able to find something with a built-in flash. The thing that is good about this little gadget is that you can take 53 pics without downloading to your PC, and it fits in a pocket.

In short: This is the worst IT related product I ever had. Out of more than 350 pictures taken, only 10 to 12 were good enough to keep. The pictures are absolutely grainy, show artefacts and the wrong colours. Pictures taken indoors are mostly grey and black. It is hard to identify the objects on the pictures I had taken minutes before. The camera cannot be used indoors, only bright sunlight seems to be ok. I have returned the first camera I bought, because I thought it was defect. So did the shop clerk and I received a second one. This camera shows the same bad quality. I can only recommend to return the camera to your local dealer, so that Logitech rethink their strategy concerning product quality. Moreover, the box stated that the camera is a 1.3 MPixel camea. In reality it isn't! It only has a VGA sensor!!!
