Review: The Nikon Coolpix 3200 eases the first-time buyer's transition to digital photography by combining lots of fun features that are easy to use with acceptable 3.2-megapixel image quality, a pocketable design, and an affordable price. There are almost no manual settings to confuse the neophyte and only a handful of buttons to worry about. Coolpix 2200 for about $100 less.) This Coolpix is best suited to photographers who will benefit from digital training wheels. More-experienced shutterbugs looking for a bargain-priced camera can find better options. The Nikon Coolpix 3200's 3.5-by-2.6-by-1.5-inch, 7-ounce, silver-toned plastic body fits comfortably in your grip for one- or two-hand shooting. The camera body is clean and uncluttered, and every control is well labeled and its function unambiguous. The top surface of the camera has only two buttons: a recessed on/off control and a raised shutter release. There's also a green power LED, which flashes when the camera enters power-saving standby mode, and two sets of tiny holes for the built-in microphone and speaker.

4.0 stars Pros: There's a lot of features. I've had the camera for like 5 or 6 years now w/o incident. It serves it's purpose for the price.
Cons: The MP is a little low for me now that it's 2010.
Summary: I don't see what everybody else's problem is with the camera. What do you expect out of a 3.2 MP camera? If the pic is blurry, change the setting. That's what I do.

3.0 stars Pros: Amazing macro shots, low price, easy settings, easy to hold
Cons: long time between shots, some noise, low quality video
Summary: I use this camera mainly for art. If you want examples of what it can do, check out graniteroses.deviantart.com or errantwhimsy.deviantart.com and click on gallery. I thoroughly believe this camera takes stunning pictures, especially for its low pixel rate. Just take a look.

It is held behind by an incredibly long loading time in between shots, however. When taking video, there is an annoying clicking sound. Occasionally noisy pictures, but not bad.
Macro shots are absolutely beautiful, however.
I highly suggest this for a first camera, or a simple point and shoot. It's $30 on ebay, for goodness sake.
