"After 5 months, still NO Rebate"
Pros: Small, cute, comes with charger, easy to use
Cons: After repeated calls & re-faxing rebate info, NO $100 REBATE!
Summary: The camera is OK, but don't trust the rebate that they "promise." I bought this camera in early October. I photocopied everything and sent the $100 rebate to Nikon immediately. Near the end of December, I called Nikon to find out the status of my rebate. They had no record of it and said to wait another month since they were behind in fulfilling rebates. I called in January. Still no record of my rebate, so they asked me to fax my photocopied rebate submittal to their rebate center. I did this twice. I called the contact person for rebates two weeks later to find out the new status of my rebate. She said it was being "cut" that day (February 8th) and would be mailed to me that week. It is now March 1st, and still no rebate!
It has been almost 5 months since I sent Nikon the rebate forms, and still no rebate.
My words of advice....Don't buy it if there is a Rebate involved. It is not worth the hassle of all the phone calls, waiting on hold, faxes, mailings, and then not even receiving your rebate in the end.
As for me, I will never trust a Rebate offer again (especially from Nikon). Nikon uses the Rebate as merely a phony marketing ploy.

It really took me by surprise when I received the rebate after 5 months. Be patient.
