"Perfect for beginners, eh for pros" on by bschultzx
Pros: Amazingly small and durable, quick zoom change, quick focus in most lighting, bright flash for its size, and terrific battery life.
Cons: Being a pro photographer, I would have liked to see manual arpeture and iso settings, but the lack of manual shutter speed adjustment is rediculous.
Summary: This camera is perfect for taking around, I don't mind the slight image noise in dark areas when it means not having to lug a D70 around on trips. However, more manual controls would have made this a ten. Still, it is my personal favorite camera, and wouldn't think twice about buying another one if I have to.

"Ease of use, Great detail" on
Pros: Uncomplicated interface, Excellent Viewing screen, ED lenses give quality images with amazing detail.
Cons: Video has a latency issue when saving.

"Not Made in china" on
Pros: CPU matched to the Glass NIKOR lense, No lense cap, decent night shots, easy to carry and pack without looking like a tourist or snotty dork with more money than brains and/or talent... packing a 1800mm zoom lense likes it's some sort of phallic symbol.
Cons: Needs a tripod for night shots at the extreme end of the digital zoom ...It s so small it always felt like it might fall out of ones grip (however it has an exellent grip) Nikon should include a case .

"Compact, take anywhere camera that's easy to use and has video/audio" on by BettySWAT
Pros: compact by easy to grip, easy to use, sleek design
Cons: slow focusing in dim light, sometimes makes odd color tweaks
Summary: I bought this camera to keep in my purse to take pictures of things on the go. It's very compact but the finger grip makes it much easier to grip than a Canon Elph. This Nikon, along with my older 4300, sometimes tweaks blues and reds oddly. Focusing in dim light is slow - low light situations can be difficult with small cameras with small on-board flashes. Understand that if you want sleek and small, you're going to lose some features to gain in others. Built-in memory is handy if your card is full. Macro works decently.

"Great for starters and intermidiate users." on
Pros: Great modes of shooting automate the hassle of configuring multiple settings, while still allowing pro's to customize them. Great macro-function, movie recording time and ease-of-use.
Cons: Can't zoom effectively during movie mode. Only 3x optical zoom. No battery status until too late, ie. when it runs out.
