"Lens Error ended my Nikon days" on
Pros: Great pix till it died.
Cons: $1000+ for a camera that didn't last 2 years! Lens gears are crap, common problem that Nikon will not acknowledge. $200+ to fix! I going back to Canon!

"Great images; terrible autofocus" on
Pros: I've had this product for 10 months; before giving a review I gave all of its features a thorough test. After testing, I have discovered that the 5700's incredible images are nothing compared to its autofocus. Sluggish, poor accuracy, and a hard to us
Cons: Cons: autofocus renders camera useless in all but the brightest light. If, like me, you like to take photos while hiking and under canopy cover, good luck.

"$1800 Door Stop" on
Pros: Solid in your hands, it has the best trigger button position for my fingers. The monitor with 280° twist, great for pictures where you can put your head, to see what your taking a pic of.
Cons: I am currently on my second camera. The first one got lens and auto focus problems after 2 weeks. I took it back Nikon refused to give me a new one. It was sent away for warranty and after 6 weeks I enquired with the store what was happening with it. Niko

"You can buy 3 or 4 good cameras for the money (1200)" on by Nobuff
Pros: Great pictures when it works
Cons: It's never ready when you are. Poor bat. life. Lens gears fail, Flash not working, Lens opens even when not in camera mode, usb socket bad (not cable).
Unless you use this camera daily the imposible menus will keep you confused and frust forever.Summary: Worst investment I've ever made. After ten years I still need the manual.
