"i love this camera." on by crabby131
Pros: good screen, zoom is nice, quality of the picture is excellent
Cons: nothing, really
Summary: Alright, so I returned the sony cybershot i wrote a review for earlier, and went with the nikon coolpix L11 in dark blue.
It's so amazing, i love it.
it's really durable. when my friend was taking a video, i ran into her on accident and it fell outside the school, on the dirt and rock, but still kept recording.
just a few minor scratches, but it still works.
this camera was only about 130 dollars at target, and it's like the polaroid i533, which i loved.
but more durable, better quality and actually worth the money, which wasn't a lot at all.
i suggest you buy this.
great camera. -
"Greatest buy and features for the buck." on by Entledave
Pros: NIKON you can't beat that name. Like glass lens and solid minature case.
Cons: A little slow to record
Summary: Movie feature work excellent. Beats a bulky video camera. The controls are very clean and easy to access only power and picture buttons on top all others in clear view on back next to large display.

"You'd think a Nikon would focus..." on by wendelbuzzes
Pros: Bright screen works great in low light
Cons: Blurry picture after blurry picture
Summary: I bought this camera as an inexpensive point-and-shoot that would be convenient enough to drop in my pocket, and even though I had only modest expectations, I’m still disappointed.
The quality of the photos is uniformly bad; nothing is ever really in focus, daylight shots are always way too contrasty and indoor shots are white-balanced properly only half the time. Moreover, the video it shoots on highest quality, supposedly 640x480 30fps, looks like 15 to me. (The SD card I have in it is supposed to be fast enough.)
Other than Auto Mode, the L11 does have many, many Scene Modes and other options that I spent a little bit of time with, but none of them seemed to produce any noticeably better results. And really, if I was going to spend the time futzing through all the settings for every shot I want to take, I wouldn’t have bought an inexpensive point-and-shoot pocket camera, now would I?
Yes, I know, it’s just a cheap camera, so what should I expect? Well, better than this.
P.S.- My five-year-old 2 mega-pixel Camedia still does a better job, for heaven’s sake. -
"Poor build quality" on by wehsschool
Pros: Bought one for my son, screen broke, assumed it was his fault (despite denials of dropping, etc). He bought another on eBay, lasted 2 days before the same problem. Google "nikon l11 screen broke" before considering this camera... common problem.
Cons: Please see above... do not purchase this camera, just burn the money
