"Mushy and soft pictures"
2.0 starson by Ben2talkPros: Exposure is well handled, overall the pictures are pleasing to look at as thumbnails or very small images - 12 megapixels is way over the top. This is a snapper camera, not a camera for taking real pictures.
Cons: Too big - pictures have the same resolution as my 7MP panasonic pocket superzoom. They're certainly inferior to my old Canon S1 IS (5 years old and only 3MP - but sharp images aren't ruined by in-camera processing)
Too soft - noise reduction takes out soSummary: Looks like a nice camera, but using it, you might wonder why you don't just use the camera in your phone.
I'll keep it 3 months and then buy a Canon G12 - vastly superior, a fair bit smaller, and only 25% more expensive. I prefer a real camera.
