"This camera is fast and easy to use and has a bunch of things to make your pics good!"on by kaylee_east
Pros great colors, big screen, fast pictures, video, voice recording.
Cons when you are taking pics of writing it is blurry.
Summary I bought this camera and it amazed me of how small it is but has so much things on it like voice recording, video, macro mode, flash, 8 mega pixel, and so much more. I was so satisfied with this camera that when my friends are looking for a camera, I tell them to buy the Nikon Coolpix S210
Pros Easy to use menus, built-in red eye reduction
Cons Connection cover for computer
Summary I purchased this camera a week ago and took it on a cruise the following day. Originally, I had planned to purchase the S550, but after holding this camera, I just couldn't justify the additional $50. With very little review of the instruction manual, I was changing the shooting mode for the camera and fine tuning white balance, etc. The camera is small and would fit easily into a **** pocket. In fact, I carred it around in the front pocket of my purse, so it was always with me. The menus have large print and are easy to read, something my 50+ eyes need. I didn't have any issues with the size of the buttons. All that being said, the cover for the connection to attach the camera to your computer is cheap plastic that pulls away from the camera. It is attached with a cingle miniscule piece of plastic. I envision this little piece of plastic falling off very shortly, leaving the connection slot exposed to dirt, etc.
Pros Love the manual focus option, giving a slight blur on the background and great focus on the objects. Excellent for sceneries. Decent for food photography.
Cons Automatic options sometimes are misleading. Bad at taking pictures at night.
Summary Overall, if you know how to use all the camera functions manually, it is actually a decent camera. I always avoid using flashes and try my best to find good light sources when taking food pictures at night.
I have been using this camera for over two years, I'm still loving it even though I sometimes wish that I have a prosumer camera or DSLR. You can check all my food pictures taking with this camera on my recipe blog Random Cuisine: http://victor-recipe.blogspot.com
Pros It takes AWESOME pictures and has good zoom. When I took pics at Macinac Island, it was like I was there when I looked at the pictures! It turns on very fast! You can take pictures in the the darkest place on earth and the pictures still are perfect!
Cons It takes a while to get use to, so if you are thinking of getting this as a girlf for a grandparent or older mother and/or father, I would recomend a different camera. When you project the picutes on a t.v it comes out kind of blurry.
Summary This camera is the best, I will keep it until it dies. Also when you preview the picutes on the camera it turns out blurry but if you wait just 3 seconds, it is all clear and ready to go! I love this camera, I would recomend it to you!
Pros It was a fun color?
Cons Broke within a Month!!
Takes bad pictures!
Summary After landing my first job out of college, my first priority was to get myself a digital camera. The Olympus waterproof one I originally wanted was over $200, so I opted for the Nikon Coolpix, based on price and the brand image of Nikon. Boy, did I get what I paid for. The camera was useless. Even when I had it, it didn't take good pictures at concepts or night events. I was still eager to learn, so I continued to take pictures, exploring all of the feature, hoping to ultimately take better pictures. Unfortunately, I didn't even get time to explore all the features, the CAMERA BROKE WITHIN A MONTH OF PURCHASE! I sent it in to the service department (which was a hassle) and they sent me an estimate for $100!!! I only spent $130 on the camera! I didn't drop the camera, just carried it in my coat pocket. They told me the camera wasn't built for this kind of use. My thinking is if they are going to advertise the camera as "the go everywhere camera" they should build it with a level of durability. I will never buy another Nikon camera again, and if you are thinking of purchasing this I highly recommend not.
