Quick Take: The Nikon Coolpix S3 is a 6-megapixel compact point-and-shoot with a big 2.5-inch LCD screen and 17 shooting presets. It includes a charging cradle, and it can use PictBridge to directly print to any compatible photo printer. It's pretty expensive for a compact camera, though; unless size is critical, the slightly larger, slightly cheaper Nikon Coolpix S4, with its swiveling 10X zoom lens, might be a better choice

Summary: The Nikon Coolpix S3 features the standard ultra-thin camera features; 6 effective megapixels, a 2.5 inch LCD and 3x optical zoom. Nikon has added some distinctive features though, such as D-Lighting, Face Priority AF and In-Camera Red-eye Fix.
