Nikon Coolpix S550 (Plum)

Summary: My dad got me this camera as a birthday present after years of using an old canon 5 mxpls one.
It was exactly what I wanted. Takes artistic photos but is still easy enough to use, even for a 6 year old. I took pictures of trees in the fall outside, of my can indoors and it worked perfectly.
Come nighttime though, I noticed that -even in a well lit room- without the usage of flash, images had a yellow hue to them. I reread the manual but it didn't mention anything.
Also.
In the dark. Or Dark-ish even. Images were slightly grainy. Even without zooming. That took me by surprise.
What I really loved about the camera was the light intake button. Really gives you a chance to experiment and get creative.

Summary: I'm going back to my old Canon PowerShot S40. It may be big and heavy in comparison the the Coolpix but the quality is much better. When the Canon is on Auto, it's a true point and shoot. The Coolpix is not.

Not worth the price for me.
