"If it hadn't been a present, I would take it back."2.5 starson by ApScience
Pros: Good for outdoor shots, pictures of still subjects in decent lighting.
Cons: Usless for moving subjects, shutter lag is terrible.
Summary: I got this camera as a birthday present, and was pretty excited since my last one had been broken a few months back. I took some outdoor shots and it worked wonderfully -- however, shots of a moving subject indoors is a different matter. If you want to take a moving picture of something like fish in an aquarium, unless you've put flash on, forget about it. Well, the flash creates a flare on the glass of the tank anyway, so that's still no good. This isn't even mentioning the bad video quality (multicoloued speckles dancing across the screen) or the fact that for some reason it randomly can't show certain images when you try and play them back and deletes them. It did this to me the first day I had it and it has nothing to do with the memory card.
Also, there's no way to adjust the shutter speed. Thanks, Nikon.

Trying to get things in microfocus is a nightmare. It may look fine on the screen - all nice and crisp - but when you press the shutter button it has to refocus all over again, for some reason, and the end result is a picture that's out of focus. Why can't it just take a picture of WHAT IS ON THE SCREEN?
