Nikon CoolPix S630 (jet black)

Pros: Low light pictures are better than other compact cameras. Picture quality with the 7x and lower is fabulous. Even without scene modes it is good for things like fireworks. Easy handling.

Cons: Zooming farther than the 7x automatically causes grainy pictures. Definitely not for people who are pixel conscious. Shooting performance is on the slower side when trying to capture several moments right after another.

Summary: I've always been a nikon person and I've had this camera for years. Recently I've been attending events where I need more than a 7x zoom or I would keep this camera until it breaks. My only big problem is videos (and sometimes the pictures) can be really grainy if you're not really close.
