"In spite of the low pixel count, this is still a great camera"
Pros: Construction (based on the Nikon F5 body; Fast startup; well organized controls; great buffer for storing pictures
Cons: It is still a 4.1 megapixel camera; price relative to competitors (e.g., Nikon D200); some problems with the sensor (see the warranty notice from Nikon USA)
Summary: I have had this camera for over a year and have found that it is still one of my favorite cameras. It is fast, intuitive and robust. This is my "go to" camera. In some ways, it is a better camera than the Nikon D200. I know the F5 and this camera is based on it. It is a great camera when speed is the issue. However, this is not a perfect camera. First, it is limited by its pixel count (4.1 megapixels). Second, relative to the competition (Nikon D200), it is pricy. Third, there were some problems in the D2H regarding sensors and their failure. Nikon is willing to fix these at no cost to the user. Overall, when speed is of the essense, this is the camera to use.

I completely agree with all you have to say about D2H - less the sensor problem. I uderstand it has low pixel count, but I was able to print 13x19 print of very good quality. But, who prints in 2007 anymore, anyway .... ??
