"heavy hitter"
Pros: Unbelievable image quality, feels perfect in large hands, very quick load up time.
Cons: Heavy & 1.5x chip makes my wide angle lenses somewhat ineffective in certain situations.
Summary: Work bought it, so I can't complain about the cost, but personally I could not justify spending that much on one for personal use.
I've used canon 30d, 20d, rebel xt & xti and the feel of Nikon cameras are far better. I have plenty of experience with these Nikon's (going back to the days of D1X) and they have made vast improvements in the feel and positioning of buttons on their camera's over the years, but if you are looking to purchase a SLR and you have large hands, go with any Nikon dSLR, the canons are too small and you will feel like you are pinching it rather than holding it.
