"HATE this camera.Overcomplicated menus & focus issues." on by tkguess

Pros: The flip out viewfinder (which is why I bought the camera) this was the first lower priced Nikon with flip out viewfinder AND live view. They are good tools that Nikon has on some fixed lens digitals and usually found in only high end nikon DSLRs

Cons: Overly complicated menues to make simple changes, You will wear out the book learning to do simple things. Some menus are three items deep. I have had around 1/4 of all my pics ruined by fuzziness. Used other lenses. Wish I kept my d40X.

Summary: I have checked out several Nikon cameras and reviewed what is available. You can't beat them for durability but if you want good pictures and sharp shots. Go with Canon. They seem to care about the average consumer. Nikon only seems to care about the people that buy camera bodies that start at about 1200.00 that pay 2000 or more for a lens. As a DIE HARD I Nikon user since 1985, I will say, if you want the best camera for your money, GO canon!!! I am
