"Nikon scores again."4.5 starson by WillieG00
Pros: Fixed LCD screen.
Superior ISO performance.
SD card memory and two will fit in the space of one Compact Flash.
High frame rate.
Super accurate focus. Tack-sharp.
Cons: Addictive. I can't put it down.
Summary: I liked this camera so much I bought a second as a backup. Focus is spot on for both cameras. I own 6 Nikon DSLR's and never had a problem with one. All have perfect focus and have never needed to go back for service. I keep a different lens on each camera and use all of them. Contrary to what some over-rated photo gurus say, I have no problem with carrying multiple cameras out into the field.
This camera is not for amateurs. if you are not willing to put the effort into learning to use it, you shouldn't buy it. If you spend some time with it you will find it to be exceptional.
Pay no attention to those who complain about overexposure. This camera's metering system is subject oriented by design. For a better explanation see Thom Hogan's review: http://www.bythom.com/nikond7000review.htm
Anyway, you have the option to adjust settings or reduce exposure using the LCD if you don't like the default exposure. Again, you need to spend some time learning how to use this camera. I looked for hot/dead pixels on all my Nikons after the Nikon haters started posting about it but have never seen one. This is destined to be one of the greatest DX format cameras ever.
