Pros 10x optical zoom. Size of the camera was great
Cons If you don't hold really still while taking a picture, it will come out blurry, especially when zoomed in really far. Battery and memory card are more expensive than what Canon offers.
Summary I had this camera for one day and returned it for the Canon A520. The Olympus C-765 was a little difficult to figure out, but it was my first digital camera. I also had problems with blurred pictures when I was zoomed more than 4x. If you are experienced or want to use a tripod to take close up shots this is a great camera, but for a beginner who doesn't want to bother with a tripod, I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros amazing zoom, lots of shooting modes, programbaility, smallest camera with 10x zoom
Cons needs some getting used to...1-2 weeks, battery is not easily replacebale if you run out...need to have 2-3 Li-10 batteries
Summary I had C-720 before this one. After I upgraded to C-765, I was surprised about how small it was for a 10x camera. It will take some getting used to...you will get lots of blurry pics for a week or two. After that no problems. Lot's of feature like burst mode (takes 5-6 photos in quick succession. Sports mode for moving subject, night mode (need tripod if you wan't avoid blurry photo's in night mode). A very good camera indeed
Pros all the useful parts of 770 at a fraction of cost
Cons none to speak of
Summary this is my second digital camera and it is all that I'd hoped for when scouring reviews before buying. I have no hesitation in recommending this little beauty to all who will listen. All I can say is read the specs shop for the best price and believe
Pros As a begginer my initial frustrations with the autofocus were soon tamed by learning to use the maunual settings. There are plenty of settings and features to explore. With the use of a tripod the zoom and panoramic features have worked well.
Cons Initially the autofocus is frustrating. Needs a larger memory card.
Pros Outside of the issues I had with the zoom, the camera was great.
Cons I specifically bought the camera because I thought I could benefit from the 10X zoom. I found out however that such a high powered zoom is worthless unless you use a tripod which I don't want to. I wish Olympus made this camera with an image stabilizer.
