Pros Sturdy, Reliable, Drop Proof, Nice quality pictures, feels solid and not cheap, not too big and not too small, multiple types of memory, rechargeable battery, tons of features, wide lens, nice LCD.
Cons A little on the slow side concerning shutter speed.
Summary I have owned this camera for just under 2 years. I have taken this to car shows, Professional sports events and have used it for many Ebay photos. I have also used this for a lot of indoor family and pet photos. The quality of the pictures have been great even when printing 8 x 10 photos.
I unfortunately dropped this camera on cement from a height of about 4 feet. To my surprise, the camera worked perfect since then and it has been a year since this has happened and the camera is still working great.
This is an all around great camera. I just received a new Sony camera for the holidays and even thought this new Sony looks great and the reviews are positive, I am having trouble giving up my reliable Olympus.
I would give this camera a 10 if it wasn't for the slow shutter speed.
I would highly recommend this camera to anyone!!!
Pros Nice pictures, easy to use, dynamic for price
Cons Manufacturer's defect in mode dial, horrible service from Olympus
Summary Hello. While this camera was nice for the first couple of months I had it, it has a well-documented manufacturer's defect that Olympus has yet to accept. I had to send it back TWICE for repair and, despite the fact that it was returned to me still broken, they now want me to pay them $244.65 to fix it. What? Is this a joke?
I created a website in honour of Olympus' behavior - OLYMPUSCHEATEDME*COM. You should check it out for the full story. If you have a similar story, please let me know.
Pros Ease of use, plenty of features, durable.
Cons Wish the zoom was more powerful.
Summary Great Digi-cam! The Lcd screen is the best feature since you can move it around more than any other i've seen
Pros great pictures, swivel LCD, very loooonggg battery life, this is the closest you can get to a digital-SLR inside 500$.
Cons proprietary battery, steep learning curve
Pros excellent image quality and semi-pro features
Cons smallish display
Summary Worried it would be out of stock since it's an older model now, I bought two of them. It's the only mid-range digital camera with excellent image quality and semi-pro level controls. No "toy" can compare with it. I use this one whenever my heavier DSLR is too cumbersome and always get great results.
