"A very high-quality, high-performing professional dSLR" on
Pros: I received my new Olympus E-1 from National Camera here in Minneapolis, on Oct 10. I have had several days with it now, to put it through its paces. My general response is that it is a fantastic camera! It does all the things I want it to do, quite well.
Cons: 1. Of course, 5 megapixels is a very ho-hum pixel count, expecially for a premium professional camera. I believe that Olympus is getting their new technology down with this model, then will quickly move to a significantly higher pixel count camera in the

"Bad product, terrible customer support" on
Pros: Features much too hard to use, camera feels clunky in the hands and is hard to use for outdoor work. Construction and image quality is not competitive in this price range. I will not use one and I do not recommend it to my customers.
Cons: Electronics went out within a few months and I'm still fighting with Olympus to replace the unit. I've bought many cameras over the years and this is possibly the worst experience I've had.
