"Solid camera, great lenses, and amazing colour"
Pros: No 35mm legacy, all digital, great lenses, great colour
Cons: Few lenses, low light capabilities
Summary: I've had my E-1 for a little over a year. I use it primarily for high school sports and it works fine indoors with a proper flash. I have no problem capturing the action, as it's quick and only suffers from similar lag to a good film camera.
Metering is good and the lenses are awesome. I use the 14-54mm and 50-200mm lenses for the majority of my work with the 50mm macro for extreme close up work.
Colour is always amazing and shadow detail is quite good. There is no light falloff at the corners as there are with legacy lenses attached to typical digital SLRs.
In 2005, it could really use an 8 or 12 MP sensor but the sharpness and colour really sets it apart from 6.x MP SLRs.
