"It's good for a basic camera."
Pros: Easy to use, pictures generaly good, small and light, great starters camera, inexpensive.
Cons: Horribly slow autofocus, small LCD, no viewfinder, noisy images in low light pics, no manual controls, poor battery life, no sound with video, flash doesn't impress me.
Summary: I've had this camera for over a year now. It is a good camera, great for daytime photo's, hanging out with friends, that kind of stuff.
The picture quality on this camera is pretty good, I can't complain about it. When shooting very low light shots (such as a night sky) however, the images get very noisy. Otherwise, the images are nice, colorful, and have a great amount of detail.
It's also pretty small and light. It probably won't fit in your shirt pocket, but it will fit in your pants pocket, purse, glove compartment, etc, which makes it great for quick shots.
The LCD on it isn't too bad, it's just small, and sadly there's no viewfinder.
The battery life on this camera is pretty bad. It simply doesn't last long, even with the flash off. This is probably because the LCD is always on. So bring an extra pair of AA's.
The three worst parts of this camera are the auto focus, which takes forever and it needs to refocus for every shot, this camera forces you to review every shot for a duration before you can go back to shooting, which makes it terrible for action shots, and last but not least, absolutely no manual control over shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and so on.
If you can handle it's drawbacks, and are afraid of getting overwhelmed by all the technical details of photography and just want something for taking shots with friends or whatever, this is a great little camera. For someone wanting to get in to photography though, steer clear of this category of camera's in general and go for a nice Superzoom \ Megazoom.
