Pros great pictures
Cons not user-friendly
Summary I got this camera as a gift. The pictures are fantastic, but it's really difficult to take them. So many lights flashing - and a pretty big delay before it takes. Then getting the pictures onto the computer is a whole project unto itself. I guess the end result is what matters, and the pictures are wonderful - once you can see them!
Pros easy to use
Cons limited to lens options
Summary I was given this camera so I can't complain too much. My friend has a better lens and was able to make closeups of a bee on a flower. This camera couldn't get that close. If you have the money I suggest you save up for a lens with more scope. It takes good people pics but I wouldn't expect much more.
"A simple point & shoot camera with decent shots and a lack of confusion for the novice"on by privateer
Pros Better than expected images, quite neutral and not as slow as reported
Cons no viewfinder but ok if not having direct sun behind you
Summary Overall surprisingly good results for an inexpensive camera. Images are pretty accurate for color though a tad weak and quite well detailed. It's obviously not a pro level and can't compete with my D2 or Canon but it's not supposed to! Remember the Kodak Brownie? This is a good example of it's digital cousin. Family photos cheap!
Added note - Bought it for my Dad who is adjustment-phobic and he shocked himself with a dozen great shots his first time out. Hey - not not bad for $127.
"lousy digital camera"on by dc01bb
Pros good optics
Cons SLOWER than it should be
Summary My wife bought this for me last year. It was my first high-megapixel camera. She bought it based on the recommendation of the sales clerk, who was a photography student. Yes, it does have a quality lens, but this camera is SLOW. Massively slow. I bought the higher speed xD memory chip, and this didn't help. I also have had a problem with the battery door. It's a poor design; its on a corner of the camera and while I don't remember dropping it, it broke off one of the little clips that it clicks into. I don't like the camera and wouldn't recommend this model to anyone.

Pros it is cheap and takes decent people pictures in good light
Cons it takes bad pictures in low light, very slow to take pictures, eats batteries like they are free, uses a highly unused XD memory card
Summary this is a great camera if all you need is a quick point and shoot to keep handy. this is not a camera you would want documenting your memories. it only gets a 2 rating because it is a functioning camera. the daytime, good light photos are decent. don't expect anything worth keeping for low light pictures. the response time between pushing to take a picture and the camera actually taking the picture seems like eternity. it is very loud in all functions. it drains AA batteries faster than any other camera i have ever used. it uses a highly unused XD memory card (don't expect to integrate with other devices). overall, it really is not worth your time or the plastic it was formed with.
