Summary: First one I bought wouldn't even open the lenscover. After returning it for a replacement I found the pictures to be of very poor quality. I previously had a 2 megapixel fuji camera and after compairing pictures from the 2 it was clear that my 2 mp fuji camera was taking clearer pictures at the same distance than this so called 5 mp olympus. The same pics on the olympus were more pixelated and had a lot of visual static thrown in...just random grains of random color. Returing this and going with another fugi.

Pros: It seemed easy for a 13 year old to use.
Cons: We have no pics.
Summary: My daughter read the instruction manual cover to cover before using the camera,then took it on a 2 week tour in Europe. Came home to show us the 200 pics she took. She took the memory card out of the camera to put it in our card reader, discovered it didn't fit in the reader, replaced it in the camera, and POOF! all the pics permanently erased! NOWHERE in the manual was this important bit of information printed. Only after using the CD for troublshooting did we find it. I'm completely disgusted with it. At least he other reviewers got their pics, we have nothing.

Cons: slow, hard to use, no sound recording in movies just a bad camera.
Summary: This camera was terribly slow and took horrible pictures in low light. It just died and I am off to buy a canon so yay!

Pros: Easy to use in most light conditions. Good macro.
Cons: Slow. Tricky in poor light conditions. Weak blue hues.
Summary: For a camera this price and this simple, the FE-130 is incredibly good quality, specially where the macro function is concerned. FOr most conditions, it makes for an excellent family camera, and is good for hobby photographers too. However, it does tend to wash the blue hues in contrasting light conditions, and sometimes lends a bluish, blurry edge to hight contrast elements in the pciture, a pixel or two wide. It can produce grainy images in poor lighting and it is a bit too slow for action pictures. If you use a tripod it will convey really atmosferic images in the same poor conditions. With an undewater case, it appears to become a different camera, the swimmimng pool blues are incredible, and the quality of detail is surprising. Altogether a good buy, although this is my las Olympus camera, I am going Fuji next!

Pros: Compact overall size, large view screen
Cons: Grainy pictures, incapable in low light, difficulty focusing on intended subject, eats batteries
Summary: My first and last Olympus camera. I was only able to take 40 pictures on brand new batteries. Most photos were grainy and not focused on my intended subject. Image stabilization? thats a joke. This camera is not worth any amount you could pay for it. Get anything else.
