"Below average performance"
Pros: Very poor low light performance
Cons: Price, digital image stabilization
Summary: Saw this at the local Fry's store for $149 ($199 less $50 price break). I thought you can't beat a 6 MP camera with Digital Image stabilization for that price. However I was very disappointed with the low-light performance. The blacks in the pictures have red spots and unacceptable levels of noise.
After trying a variety of modes (auto, highest resolution setting, manual modes etc.), I still couldn't get decent pictures. After a day of fiddling with it, I returned it. My search continues!

I too, ran down to Fry's to get the Olympus FE 140 at $149. Although I like the 2.5 inch display and the ease of use, I quickly got the distinct impression that the photo quality was nowhere near as good as my three year old Fuji Finepix 2650. In addition, it consumes AA batteries at an alarming rate.

I read this person's very low rating, but I must tell you, I read four other people's ratings who ecstatically gave it 4.5, 4.8 & two 5's of a 1-5 rating. 5 being highest.
So, I would take the low rating with a grain of salt, as they say.

also at frys for 150 plus tax. Had a canon s60 before. Was too large and ultimately too confusing. You always thought you could get a better shot by fiddling which was ultimately unnerving.
Anyway the ease of use here is great. The pics are ok but not great, but are easily as good as I!! got with my S60.
You have 8 basic settings and that will adjust camera thats great. Nice point and shoot.
