"WOW! This camera is so small, so powerful and so easy to use for such an awesome price!!!" on by kloehn88
Pros: Free rechargeable battery and charger! 6MP! Video recording! Small! Image Stabilization. Light.
Cons: Movies are massive in size for quality.
Summary: I love this camera. It is my first and it is so easy to use. The learning curve is like 30 seconds. I love the AUTO feature. It has never over/under exposed a picture yet. They all look professional whether its sunny or dark. The flash goes pretty far too. I love it. And the image stabilization is amazing. I've taken amazing pictures sitting in the back of a truck on a very bumpy road. The only drawback is the massive movie files. The 1 1/2 minute movie I shot was over 40 MB! But it turned out great.

"Great ultra compact budget camera!" on by chones2083
Pros: Extremely small/compact. Great LCD - 2.5". Audio .. all for under $200.
Cons: None really - I guess one criticism is there is no view finder, but that isn't really necessary for my uses.
Summary: This looks to be a great camera. I own a Canon Elph and got this for my girlfriend...I am envious. This thing is so tiny compared to my elph (sd110). It has the dimensions of a credit card & under an inch thick. Awesome! I wanted to get my girlfriend a simple, lithium ion powered, ultra compact. This fits the bill. I imagine for those of you who want more functionality, this isn't going to be the camera for you. But for the rest of us who need a basic point & shoot, with 6.0 mega pixels - this is definately the camera for you.
I think the best part about this camera is the price - you are getting a great ultra compact camera with enough functionality for most users at under $200. Got mine shipped for $180 @ Page Computers - very fast shipping via fedex, would highly recommend & a $30 512mb xd card @ newegg = $210 all together and a very happy girlfriend...you can't beat that. Buy the camera. -
"Very small, complete with helpful guide, and decent features" on by SlickNick12790
Pros: small, light, feels very solid becaus of the aluminum body, takes very good audo and video, good flash, comes with av cable to TV
Cons: hard to take pictures with one hand, can't do panorama mode without XD type H card, only has 3x zoom, and cant turn digital zoom off, no multi shot, takes almost 3 seconds for SHQ pics to save.
Summary: To start out, when looked at at first, the camera is amazingly thin and sleek, and easy to use thanks to the 30 second learning curve.
The body fels very solid, as i have dropped it on my desk from 3 feet and there wasnt a scratch. moving on, there is no internal battery charger, meaning the camerca cant be charged with the battery in it; the battery has to be taken out and charged in a monsterous charger.
When the power button is pressed, a small gate of heaven opens, revealing the lens. On the back there is no viewfinder, but much makes for it with a beautiful 2.5 inch screen filling 75% of the back of the camera.
One advantage to a camera like this, is amazingly with a full charge (takes the battery 300 minutes of charge) the battery runs very long with the LCD, which in most other cameras INHALES the battery.
Also, the XD card slot is under the same door as the battery.
Adding to this problem, the olympus takes a special camera battery, meaning basic AA battteries cannot be picked up and slapped in for those "lifeless camera" moments.
Returning to turning the camera on, no welcome screen greets you to setting the date, time, and time format.
Next, depending on whether or not you have an XD card or not, (though the camera has a 22mb internal memory for 5 photos is SHQ mode) this is where the card is formatted. From then on the camera is ready for regular camera duties.
The unit powers off and on in under 1.5 senconds.
The power button is locatd next to the "take picture" button and is very areodinamic with the camera so the camera is not accidentally turned on.
When using the scrool wheel, the camera does have 14 shooting mode, lacking one of my favorites, multi shot, and most of the modes are accessed by the SCENE partition in the wheel.
When the mode is changed a helpful diaologue box is displayed, explaining what the mode is used for.
This does have an AUCTION mode for taking pictures for ebay and other auction sites, aswell as a built in guide for beginner photographers.
Another set-back is the panorama mode can't be unlocked without the type H XD card. Although, video mode is very fun to mess around with. With the 6 megapixels, the photos can be blown up to 11x17 comfortably.
Finally, this camera is a very good peresent for anyone who is getting into photography.
This does lack more top end features, more for basic and intermediate photographers, and slips in the pocket very easily.
while I did mention alot of negative aspects, these are easily passed by with the coolness and ease of this cameras use. -
"Poor image quality" on by mrscptjoke
Pros: Size, easy to use
Cons: Image quality is terrible
Summary: Just received this camera as a gift. Could not wait to start using it. Took about 200 shots of all types (indoor, outdoor, people, still life, bright light, low light) and with all quality image settings. Even at the highest quality setting, the pictures looked terrible on the screen, and we kept hoping they'd look better on our computers or as prints. Nope! They are just as bad as on the viewfinder. Grainy, blurry, fuzzy, out of focus. We're returning it right away.

"Very Very Disappointed by this Camera." on by cgautam
Pros: Light weight
Cons: Worst Camera for indoor snaps, hazyness, very slow shutter when not in Auto mode
Summary: Bought this camera without doing any research. And I made the most painful mistake of my Thanksgiving vacation. Took it to Las Vegas where all photography happens indoors. All Pictures are hazy, not a single crisp photo!. Well, three photos were slightly better when I placed the camera on a surface for timed shooting. SO I believe if you buy this camera always use tripod, or else dont bother buying the camera. The camera comes with a shake prevention setting, which is again, not too well programmed with flash and shutter speed.
The colors did nto come out bright as well. Sony or Nikon is much much better than this camera. I wish at least if not for Las Vegas, for Grand Canyon I had taken my tripod with me. All grand canyon shots (outdoor) are kinda hazy as well.
Close-ups are slightly better.
I am returning it with the 15% re-stocking fee to buy a Sony. or a Nikon. 28 dollars of re-stocking fee i am considering as rent for using the ****** camera for 4 days in vegas and grand canyon.
