  • "Not worth the money."
    on by tianling

    Pros Lots of options.
    Comfortable.
    Compact and well built.
    Sleek and attractive.

Cons BUGS! This camera will break on you.
Olympus Customer service is horrible / non existent.
    Short battery life.
Barriers to use. Requires hours...days of "playing with" before you understand what's going on.
    Strange package of cords.

Summary For the money, this is a poor investment. I've had nothing but bad experiences with the last two cameras I've purchased from Olympus, the Pen3 and the OMD. Both were buggy and defected in a matter of days after recieving.

Both times I experienced horrendous customer service. The OMD package ran me nearly $1,500 dollars. It broke after a week of use and took the company nearly four months to repair the camera. It took another 6 weeks to get them to refund my money.

Totally unreliable. Sticking with the brands I know and trust. Nikon. Never lets me down.

  • "Expensive Toy"
    on by Frugaltravelrus

    Pros looks retro

Cons Main dial falls off after a while of use
LCD bezel cracking due to overtightened screws
    No user cleanable sensor
    HIGH Price

Summary Not worth the money! Why get a +1000$ camera when you can have a proof-en DSLR D7000 or 60D for MUCH less which functions better and is more reliable. A cool looking retro camera, but lacks built quality. A expensive interchangeable lens camera that performs no better than a great advanced Point and Shoot.
