  • "A perfect compromise"
    on by uncleBob69

    Pros * Small, but not too small.
    * Incredibly sharp elecronic finder.
    * Ability to use my prime Leica M-lenses.
    * Manual settings for optimal control.
    * The art filters are pretty nice.
    * Camera overall quality.
    * The DESIGN!

    Cons * The highest ISO-settings are somewhat noisy.

    Summary I would like to have one super-wide, fast prime lens becsause I´m a street photographer. Otherwise the camera is the one to bring during excursions and travels.
    The lenses are really small and well built for the price.
    Instead of selling my Summicrons and Elmar I can use them with an adapter and get the best of both worlds.
    It´s a image tool you can always carry with you just like the Leica M. I liked the Leica rangefinder models for being so discreet and unobtrusive when photographing people in the street. This Olympus can do the same magic.
    And the best of all -The image quality!

    Pros PICTURE RESULTS ARE A LOT MORE PROF THAN MOST PROF PEOPLE CAN DO WITH THEIRS.

    Cons NONE ATALL

    Summary BUY IT LOVE IT AS I DO.

  • "Purpose-built carry-around high quality camera"
    on by DaddioOnThePaddio

    Pros It is small, feels good in the hand. The shooting mode is on a handy selector wheel. Can slip it into a coat pocket - and it shoots raw images.

    Cons Menu was designed by a schizoid programmer...selections are all over the place. There is no continual display of ISO setting.

    Summary I LIKE IT, AND HAVE RECOMMENDED IT TO FELLOW FOTOGS. My main camera is a Canon 5D - and all my Canon lenses work on the E-P2...but keep in mind you cannot manually adjust aperture with Canon lenses so you are S.O.L. on that. I like the camera and plan to use it for all my street shots and where I need to be quiet and unobtrusive. It is not a wedding portrait camera! So what! It is light and easy to use.

  • "The camera is slightly unusual and it looks so cool!!!"
    on by StraightTeeth

    Pros I does everything and I can use my Olympus OM1 lenses.

    Cons It doesn't make french toast

    Summary This is a totally cool product. I'm signing up for an online photo course and plan on using this camera. I'm sure it will do everything I need. I have already purchased the adaptor for using my OM1 lenses and no problem. This is a great camera for people with great hand dexterity. Skinny fingers are a plus, playing clasical guitar comes in handy. Controls are a little tight but nothing like a Rickehbacker 370/ 12 string. The electronic vu finder is awesome and I have yet to have a situation where I would have needed a flash but I'm sure those are coming. The manual has some issues but eventually I have been able to figure out the nuances of the camera's features and there are a lot. Bought at Crutchfield, I love those people! Buy this camera people look at you with the what is that question in their eyes. I enjoy long walks on the beach gourmet cooking and I grow my own basil. :-)
