Pros: Excellent picture quality and features such as movie mode, scenes, and easy to use buttons
Cons: Chronic consumption of batteries and too slow shutter reaction time for candid shots.
Summary: I've had great expereinces with Olympus cameras in the 1970's and 1980's; however, the SP 310 was disappointing. Frustrating service response from Olympus. Camera was eventually repaired to fix the battery consumption problem. I would consider buying another Olympus product, but would shy away from another SP -310.
