"Solid great performing small beautiful camera!"
Pros: Photos sharp, no noise, solid grip, AF assist lamp, AA batteries, 2.5 inch lcd, optical viewfinder, neck strap instead of wrist strap, 3:2 aspect ration available, preset modes, fully auto or manual
Cons: zoom only 3x but that isn't a problem for me!
Summary: I wanted a camera that I could have with me in my purse all the time without giving up all the features of my Fuji S9000.. well this is it!! I have only had this camera for 12 hours and I love it already. The photos are sharp and the color is accurate. I put it through it paces last night on my dogs trying to find it's weaknesses. Well, I didn't find any! I returned a Nikon L1 after 24 hours because it wouldn't focus under most circumstances. I also took several pictures of my old Pomeranian in the car after we walked out of the store. She went with me so we could test the camera in the store. The shots were sharp with no noise. The AF assist lamp allowed even the most challenging photos to be sharply focused. The size is just a bit bigger than these new tiny pocket ones, but it is full featured. You can go completely auto or take control of every shot with the settings. The viewfinder is large and beautiful and they have maintained an optical viewfinder despite it's small size. The handgrip is solid and non-slip. It doesn't feel like it will drop at any moment. And, a neck strap instead of those wrist straps that always make me nervous! It has a threaded barrel that allows add-on wide angle or telephoto conversion lenses, plus it has a hotshoe for an external flash! This camera is very solid. Nothing feels flimsy. I love the 3:2 aspect ratio. My 4x6 prints will be what I thought they would be when taking the picture!! Only cropping will be when I am searching for the sweet spot! Don't hesitate on this one, lots of bang for your money.. And AA batteries or lithium cells... none of that proprietary battery stuff!! solid, great performing, attractive SMALL camera...
