Pros: very long battery life uses 4 AA batteries alkaline or Ni-MH rechargeables. I took over 500 shots with fully charged 2500 mAh Ni-MH batteries. Plenty of settings from full auto to manual
Cons: I have non so far, very happy with the SP 510
Summary: I have read several negative reviews on this camera that are not justified. Reading these reviews I am certain that these people have not read the ADVANCED MANUAL that is included in the CD that came with the camera. I have the adapter lens (CLA-4)and TCON-17 (1.7X) Telephoto Conversion Lens. This lens really does help pull in subjects. I will also be getting the WCON-07 (.7X) Wide Conversion Lens. I am so happy with this camera that I am buying two more to give as gifts. The price drop is an added bonus.

I just purchased this camera, and was told i can take continous photos of myn children playing ball. Can you help me figure this out. i understand how to do about 3 pictures but i wanted to do more
