Pros: the looks are sleek and has all the extras you could possibly want in a camera. its small design lets you take it anywhere and the pictures are crystal clear in all the various settings. even the movie mode is good.
Cons: the learning curve is high for first time digital camera buyers but after learning is a breeze.
Summary: i had a sony cybershot before this and gave it to my sister as when i upgraded to this. i just cant say enough about it. the price was just right and has all the features i could ever want and alot i will probably never even use. the picture quality is excellent and its very nice to plug it into any printer without using a pc and not having to install software if you want. i love the size and the looks also.

Pros: First of all I love the zoom! I like the image stablization. you can actually snap a shot while moving the camera and the pic will come out perfectly clear. also you can edit your pics directly on the camera. the browser is cool.
Cons: nothing that i can think of. if you want a camera that takes streak pics like with the streaks from lights.... go for the canon because this camera doesn't have that feature. i knew that before buying it, but i figured it wasn't important.
Summary: this camera functions great. 10 mega pixels, 7 optical zoom! i used it in europe and took over 800 beautiful pics. i can't get over the zoom. i wouldn't have captured some of the amazing pics i did without it. i like the on/off button. this camera is very user friendly. i'm not an expert, but i did a lot of research before buying this camera, and also had tested it out. it's definitely worth buying. to me, this camera is just as good as a sony cybershot and canon powershot, if not even better. especially for it's price compared to them. you will not be dissapointed.

Pros: Fast, Light, Easy to Use, Great Zoom (7x), Hi Resolution, Large Display Screen
Cons: Movie sometimes makes a thumping noise
Summary: Had a great experience with Olympus with a previous generation camera (4 MP I think). Tried other models (Casio, Nikon, Sony) but they were either way too simple, or made for the photo expert with features only a professional photographer would understand. It takes fantastic pictures in all settings. I love this camera. The only issue I've run across is in movie mode. I owned the previous model (Stylus 840) and found that the movie mode made a lot of thumping during recordings. We upgraded to the 1010 (after numerous trial and errors with different models) and it doesn't do it except when you're ending the movie. I'm still wondering if it's indicative to the model or brand. We're still testing the 1010 to make sure it doesn't happen this time... otherwise, I don't know what else we can do as this was the best digital camera that we've found.

Pros: Takes excellent pictures in dark. Excellent in megapixel and zoom. Has many options available for the user. Does Good with motion in the picture.
Cons: None that I can see. But if you do drop it, common sense applies, its going to break.
Summary: Has the best megapixels with more zoom to go with the camera than any other small camera out there. It is the best and I got it a year ago when it was about a 100 dollars more.

Summary: you can get a bad camera from any company.if not sat.retirn it for another and I'll bet the next one is great like mine
