"Perfect vacation snapshot camera"
Pros: Waterproof (even up to 10 feet!), shockproof, small size, nice build quality
Cons: Noisy details in photos, easy to cover lens with your left hand
Summary: I bought this camera based on its size and waterproof feature. I also have a Canon Digital Rebel SLR camera, but its not always convenient to carry around, and I'm often afraid of getting it wet in the rain. The 720SW will get used a lot more since I'm not afraid of anything happening to it (it's built like a tank and is waranted to work up to 10 feet under water) and it fits in a pocket.
So far I am a little disappointed in the amount of noise in the photos when they're blown up a little, but I think I am spoiled by the Rebel.
The 720SW has built-in digital stabilization. This is essential in a small camera like this where holding it steady is impossible. This camera is replacing a small Sony snapshot camera that constantly frustrates me because it ha no stabilization, making almost everything I take with it blurry.
I would recommend this camera for snapshots and for on-computer viewing. If you're looking into a 7MP camera to make large print blow-ups, go with an SLR though.

can you tell me if you can zoom while shooting video? That would be a great feature in considering this camera
