"Customer support is AWFUL!!!" on by Shutter
Pros: Fast opening and shooting
Cons: Everything Else
Summary: I don't know who the other reviewers are but they must have a differennt camera or work for Olympus.
With plenty of light, you get decent, but extremely over sharpened images. They look like they've been filtered through Photoshop about a dozen times.
In low light, despite all the hyped up scene modes, the images are pixelated and look plain terrible.
I called customer service, they said the camera must be defective (which is untrue from other people I've spoken to with the same problems) so I would have to pay to ship it to them for a REPAIR!!! This is after I've only had it ONE WEEK! There is no responsibility or accountability at Olympus, they are terrible.
Do yourself a favor, save a headache and stay away from Olympus. -
"Perfect in every way." on by AR278
Pros: Great LCD clarity-crisp! Perfect pictures. #1 red eye elimination function in camera, good grip, fast picture taking
Cons: nothing---at least not yet
Summary: IF YOU WANT TO GO BUY THIS PRODUCT YOU MAY DO IT WITH NO HESITATION WHAT-SO-EVER. (YOU CAN TAKE THAT FROM ME--I HAD MANY DIGITAL CAMERAS. GOING FROM A CANON G5 TO THIS HAS BEEN SO FAR!
Updated
After having this camera for a few, the durablility started to fade. My power button became depressed and hard to reach, unless you have cat's claws. That is the least of my concerns. The #1 deficit in this camera: ultra pixelated. Too dotty. Not for me. The pictures became to look like a polka-dot poster. Disaster. I didn't see it before, because I guess the camera was new and the pictures turned out fantastic. It's after using it over and over again, this began to become apparent. So, I got rid of it and bought the Nikon P1.
