"Don't let the low price fool you"
Pros: Small and easy to use; good quality pix for bottom end camera
Cons: Extremely slow, low battery life, POOR SERVICE
Summary: While my recently purchased S50 worked, I was more or less satisfied. For the seemingly low price, the camera performed ok (not great) and took good quality pix. However, the most expensive and most fragile piece - the LCD display - is NOT covered under warranty. After the LCD cracked without being bumped or dropped (even the clear plastic protective covering didn't crack), I have spent the past THREE MONTHS dealing with service centers and paid an additional $150 for parts and labor, and THE CAMERA IS STILL NOT FIXED. It seems that so many of these parts need to be replaced that I am too far down the list for service within the 6+ weeks the camera has been at the service center.
What's more, no more pictures... I strongly encourage you to consider the FULL cost of this camera to realize that it is NOT A GOOD VALUE for the money.
