Pros: Good zoom, 5x zoom, but can go up to 6.4x OR 8x zoom

easy controls and simple, easy-to-figure-out features
If batteries run out, you can just go out to any store and buy any AA batteries

Cons: wish it had a better lithium rechargeable battery
slightly bulky
wish it was slimmer
plastic grip feels cheapy

Summary: A good, well balanced camera. I recommend rechargeable AA batteries. They laster MUCH longer than simple alkalines. I have had asolutely no technical problems with my camera and I expect none either.
