"A good camera with poor picture quality"
Pros: Small, sleak, fits in your pocket. Good for the "casual" photographer.
Cons: Poor pixel quality, tons of artifacts.
Summary: We were looking for something that we could use when the situation would call for more portability rather than quality (like bringing your SLR when your meeting friends for dinner, to a bar, etc..). It has tons of features and a good ISO range (although no aperture or shutter priority). The selection of scene settings is enormous (two setting for ?baby? shots). And the price range for a 7.2 MP camera was great! Everything seemed great, and then we took a few pictures..boy were we disappointed. The pixel quality is horrible. When you look at in more detail, it looks like the image has been run through the watercolor Photoshop filter. A good word for it is ?smudgy?. I have an old 3.2 MP Canon A70 and it takes far better images than this Panasonic. If your looking for a camera that takes a decent image, I would pass this up. If your into more of the ?bells and whistles? (on a point-and-shoot level) and can live with the minor distortions, then this is for you.
