"expensive, but worth it" on by chavach
Pros: 14 mp and raw in a point and shoot
Large selection of scene modes
The auto settings is the best one i have ever testedCons: not so many accesories availabe as canon or nikon.
Summary: I am not an amateur but love to take great pictures, and will not buy a dslr because of the size.
I even printed some pics in letter size pages and the colors were great.
So if you´re like me, consider this camera, it has everything you need to take beautifull pics everywhere. -
"Very good camera, worth the price." on by threeaxle
Pros: Ease of use, compact size, durable (surprising), errors are easy to fix.
Cons: None to note at my level.
Summary: I'm not a camera expert, but with my father being an avid photographer, and my sister having a very successful photography business, I know a little bit. I bought this camera in Iraq during my first deployment when my cheap point and shoot wasn't cutting it. I have been nothing but impressed with the quality and ease of use. I believe this camera to be durable. I've dropped it once and the lens locked up only once while in Iraq, and I just used an air can to dislodge it and I was good to go. My previous camera had locked up 5 times in the first month, while the Lumix lasted 5 months with only one lock up. I had this camera right out on the front lines in the heart of sand storms, and if anyone has ever seen an Iraqi sandstorm at its worst, you know how bad it gets. If I can't keep sand out of my tightly closed eyes and mouth, how should a camera survive? It beats me, but it did. The video is better than I've ever seen.
I know all of this should only be expected from someone who uses 10mp straight to 14mp cameras, but I am still deeply impressed with this camera. For the price, its worth it. -
"Very Best pocket camera of 6 that I Own - now $219" on by rongroup
Pros: The FX-150 has features that are usually found on digital SLR's. Controls are easy to use even for the beginner yet photo quality is very good. This is a great camera for the serious photographer that wants a good camera with him/her at all times.
Cons: No threaded lens housing like the TX3 for adding filters. ISO too grainy (noise) above 400. Short optical zoom range.
Summary: This camera originally sold for close to $400. At $219 it is a great bargain. I believe Panasonic made some good compromises with this camera considering it is truly a pocket camera unlike the Panasonic TX3 (which I also own) that is not really a pocket camera - It's more like a hang on your belt camera. It's 14.7 MP and Manual and RAW capabilities permits one to crop a photo and still have enough MP's left to make quality large prints. Good job Panasonic.

"good pics in natural light, bad pics in nonnatural lite" on by zachchen1996
Pros: Good image quality in the day time, sleek looking, small, light
Cons: Expensive, bad low light performance, mixed performance, flash may not be powerful enough for you, takes really bad pics indoors ( even with lights on ). Higher image noise than average. You cant really tell the difference between 14.7 MP and 10 MP
Summary: It takes great pics if there is enough natural light. It takes bad pics when there is not enough natural light. Overall I do not recommend this camera, I recommend the Canon PowerShot SD880 IS which is a much better camera. (its cheaper too)
