"Amazing picture quality" on by ssuther
Pros: Image Stabilizer, Large LCD, Compact Size
Cons: Wish the lens zoomed further
Summary: I've had the FX7 since purchasing it on a trip to New Zealand early in the year - it keeps astounding me with picture quality... even in low light where the image stabilizer really pays off. As my 3rd digicam, I miss the hot shoe and battery life of my Canon G3 - but otherwise, the FX7 is fantastic! Even the fireworks mode is a winner - and shots of the kids look natural since the response is so fast (about 2-3 times faster focusing than the Canon). It's sturdy too - nice automatic lens cover and the cool blue finish (not available in North America) can't be beat!

"Very Stylish Camera" on
Pros: Very compact and did I mention STYLISH? Quality photos with a size that fits almost any pocket. Pictures come out really sharp, with the help of the stabilizer.
Cons: Cannot playback the sound in movie mode, but you can always connect to the tv or pc to hear the sound. Afterall, this is a camera, not a video camera!

"Look at the Lumix LZ2" on by JonBattle
Pros: Zoom, OIS all good
Cons: Low light issues.
Summary: The LZ2 has a 6X optical zoom, same stabilization system and a 2 inch LCD viewer instead of 2.5 that this one has. Cost of LZ2 - $249 (Best price Ive seen).

"A good compromise camera that meets my wife's point and shoot needs and my more exacting needs." on by RonnyB
Pros: My wife loves the anti-shake option.
Cons: Short battery life because everyone likes to look at their pics on the large screen. I bought a spare battery.
Summary: My wife likes the ease of using this camera (set on auto) and is happy with the results. Our family and friends like the pics we take of them and are always asking for copies. The camera fits in my wife's purse or my pocket. Someday I'll get a digital SLR for myself but this camera is fine for the time being.

"Great point and shoot with O.I.S." on
Pros: OIS!! Battery life was way better than I expected. I got 99 shots from the freshly charged factory battery, 25 of which were flash photos. Extra batteries are available on Ebay for about $8 ea.
Cons: Almost too small~ if you have large thumbs you have to be careful not to touch the wrong button when shooting
