"For it's class this is an excellent camera."
Pros: True wide-angle, 18x, Shoots raw mode
Cons: A little noisy at high ISO's (800+) but very fixable
Summary: I've had this camera for over a month now and love it - bought it for those times when I didn't want to haul all my SLR (Canon 30D) gear with me but want good shots with wide and long focal lengh options. Don't compare this camera to SLR's - although you will be tempted to and the reviewer surely did when she gave it a "very good" rating. This is a point-and-shoot with a great lens (Leica) that has all the manual options you want (and more) that shoots great pics. Yes, it's a bit noisy at 800+ iso's but not nearly as bad as the others referred to in the review here and not an issue if you don't mind shooting in raw and converting using the software provided. The image stabilization works splendidly at long shots (and you'll be glad it does). Read the review at dpreview.com and compare.
