"It is the lens, Leica or leave it" on
Pros: Good price point. Great lens. Did I mention the lens? Anything it lacks I can make up for in Photoshop with a couple of clicks!
Cons: Shutter lag, poor low light. No manual settings

"FOR IT'S PRICE AN EXCELLENT CAMERA, EASY USE" on by juancdias
Pros: EXCELLENT PICTURES PRINTED
Cons: I HAVE NOT ANY CONSTRAINTS
Summary: THIS CAMERAS COMPLIES WITH THIS SPECIFICATION, IN THE MANUAL SAYS THAT THIS CAMERA CAN MADE LITLE MOVIES WITHOUT SOUND BECAUSE THIS I'M NOT AGREE WITH THE OPINION OF THAT THIS IS A CONSTRAINT, IF YOU WANT A FILM RECORDER BUY IT, THIS IS AN OPTIONAL FEATURE, THIS CAMERA WAS A GIFT FROM MY WIFE TO ME. AND IT WAS THE BETTER GIFT RECEIVED. I HAVE PRINTED PICTURES FROM RESOLOTION LESS THAN 2048 PIXELS (THIS IS MAXIMUN ALLOWED FOR THIS MODEL) AND USE PHOTOEDITOR TO INCREASE THE SIZE TO PRINT THEI PHOTOS IN PHOTO SHOP. THE PICTURES REMAINS BEATIFULL AS THE FIRST TAKE. IF YOU WANT A CAMERA WITH EASY USE FOR ANY, THIS CAMERA SHOULD BE YOUR CHOICE. NO MATTER IF EXIST MORE ADVANCED CAMERAS BUT FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME IF EXCELLENT!

"Great Photos from a 3.2 MP" on by chad_mike
Pros: Crisp shots, great color saturation, Leica lens
Cons: a little bulky, small screen
Summary: I had a Casio Exilim Z40 4mp, it got stolen, so I bought this. For a lot less money, I got better pictures (even with less MPs).

"great photos what's not to like" on by another 1 bites the dust
Pros: simple operation great picture quality
Cons: video mode with no built in mic
Summary: An ex gave me a point and shoot lieca as a breaking up gift and I enjoyed the camera to the point of considering one for a digital option. Since I was not about to layout around $1K for what panasonic was offering for around $250 I opted for the LC-50. It is a little thick okay really chunky considering the other options but the picture quality is great in all types of light. I don't have to worry about working from built in memory only and it's managed to take a licking from me over the year while still cranking out great photos. I would consider a panasonic again when upgrading if there is an intergrated mic function for the video out put.
