  • "dont ever buy this camera."
    on by andersonr125

    Pros absolutely none

Cons battery went out within 3 months. tried 3 different times to get new one. they told me i would receive a free one and then there goes the run around. never did get it. Customer service is the worst anywhere. run run run away!!!!!

  • "Complete waste of money, do not buy this camera"
    on by maya111111111

Pros 16X zoom could be good addition to quality camera, in case of Panasonic it is complete disaster

Cons everything else including Panasonic customer service (awful)

Summary Stop working after 4 months, can not turn on. Sent to Panasonic repair center in Texas and a month later (sic) Panasonic reject repair under warranty due to rust!!! I could not believe when customer service said so about product I bought 4months ago.
Completely disappointed with product (extremely low quality product and extremely bad Panasonic support, I will never buy Panasonic brand)"

  • "good compact point and shoot."
    on by pgee70

    Pros great wide angle.
large images, quick to learn/easy to use.
in well light conditions, takes good photos.
the face recognition/exposure feature is pretty cool.

Cons the low light avchd recording quality is exceptionally poor. especially under fluorescent lights. the videos taken had many blue lines through them. using the same conditions, the .jpg/mov format worked fine (but at a lesser resolution)
    The GPS is dist

Summary its not a professional level camera -- if you accept its limitations, its pretty good. i also have a dSLR.
but sometimes you don't want to pack all that kit when you go away.
So if you accept its limitations, its a pretty good camera for its size and price.
I didn't think the battery life was terrible -- i recently used to to record some video -- it was on for a few hours recorded 40 minutes of video and only used half a battery.

  • "Very poor quailty photos."
    on by melaniejones98

    Pros fast shutter speed
Great outdoor pictures in good light

Cons Flash doesn't seem bright enough
all my indoor med. light photos were grainy
I could not take a single picture of my kids on their bikes without them being blurry

Summary Very disappointed in this camera. other than outside in full light I didn't get a single picture that was good quality

  • "So far, what a great camera for the $$$"
    on by kbchicago

Pros 24mm wide angle lens is sweet
16x zoom and even more if you lower the megapixels (read up on this)
Small/compact size, will fit in your pocket
Fast shooting- some of the older lumix models are slowwww
LCD screen is 3"...that's quite nice
    Too many pros to

Cons None that I've experienced yet

Summary Purchased this camera with a Lumix leather pouch, 4GB chip for a steal of a price from C-stco, $260...that's much better than anywhere else currently.
