Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10 (Blue)

Pros: great wide angle.
large images, quick to learn/easy to use.
in well light conditions, takes good photos.
the face recognition/exposure feature is pretty cool.

Cons: the low light avchd recording quality is exceptionally poor. especially under fluorescent lights. the videos taken had many blue lines through them. using the same conditions, the .jpg/mov format worked fine (but at a lesser resolution)
The GPS is dist

Summary: its not a professional level camera -- if you accept its limitations, its pretty good. i also have a dSLR.
but sometimes you don't want to pack all that kit when you go away.
So if you accept its limitations, its a pretty good camera for its size and price.
I didn't think the battery life was terrible -- i recently used to to record some video -- it was on for a few hours recorded 40 minutes of video and only used half a battery.
