"the K-x is an excellent camera" on by tedtks
Pros: I think its great the more I use it. I dont get the lack of stabilization, havent noticed a problem when useing the auto lenses Two of my Tele lens are manual only so its not used.
The manual is great ! tells you more than you would expect (see cons)Cons: eats batteries due to live view (4 - AA) so you must have xtra sets on a long
shoot or use the view finder
The manual, anytime in one function that it refers to another it gives you a page
number instead of telling you then Lots of flipping aroundSummary: I first bought a Pentax K-2000/K-m - but my 65 yr old eyes could not get a good view thru the view finder even after messing with the diopler adjustment
I have used a cheapo pocket digital for a while and didnt know ALL digitals didnt have live view
Not a lot of difference tween the K2000 and K-x except the live view - I am happy as can be and it only
cost me less than $375
If you are switching from film to digital you have a big learning curve ahead - but it just takes practice
in situations that you will do most of your shooting. You can use it in manual mode - since a couple
of my lens are manual only (from my pentax 35mm film) so its just getting used to terminology and how you change speed, F stops etc.
