"Very Good BUT..."
Pros: Dust clear, dust and weather seals, in-camera Shake Reduction
Cons: PRIME should deliver better JPEG images
Summary: In-camera image processor unable to deliver crisp sharp edges, better to shoot RAW
Flash must be raised for AF assist.
I realy like the camera, BUT an SLR should deliver better JPEG images.

As an owner, I assure you the k10d has almost unlimited abilities to control images. The jpeg sharpness, saturation, and contrast and more can be manipulated in camera to save as new jpeg, keeping the original, or make as many new as you want. Or shoot RAW, two versions, plus jpegs, 3 levels, and knock yourself out. This is an unbeatable camera.

Rather than cater to point & shoot enthusiasts who do little manipulation or post processing, Pentax has just produced a camera that (like the Nikon D200) doesn't over-sharpen JPEGs in-camera on default settings. If you like your images sharper, you'll get higher quality from sharpening during post processing rather than trying to soften-up overly sharp pictures. The Pentax user manual explains that for sharper in camera results (more comparable to standard p&s digicams or lower level dSLRs aimed more towards consumers) you just adjust the levels in camera.
These adjustments aren't even visible for prints over 8x10, so for most people, its a complete non-issue anyways.
