really good camera for price but it could have better zoom and focus settings and they could relocate place to attach tripod

Update* After about two years with this camera, Here is my final rating, I'd give it 3 stars, and that's because of its surprising, durability, This camera has literally rolled off a cliff. I went on a hiking trip, was taking a picture, tripped, my camera fell and rolled off the side of the mountain, I figured it was gone and I said, "Oh well" and walked on. Little did I know, The trail wrapped around and took me to the bottom of that hill, So as I was walking, I came across an unexpected surprise, My camera, laying in the middle of the trail in one piece, the battery door is open and the batteries are gone, but I had spare, So i put new ones in it and it turned on and worked good as before. I have managed to get some amazing pictures out of it, but I did some math, and I took a total of for the amount of pictures I take, and the amount of pictures that are good enough to keep, others I deleted. But for every 56 pictures I took, I got one good picture. Much practice is needed.

Another con I found a day or two after I got the camera (it was a Christmas present) was if you are talking and you zoom in (this is in film mode) then when you watch the video the sound will stop as you zoom in. Now here is the next, just yesterday I was looking through my picture and all of a sudden the screen turned completely black and them turn off. I though that the batteries were dead so I put in some NEW ones but then I realized that the lens were still extracted but my camera was off. But I still put the new batteries in then I pressed the on button and it made a really strange beeping sound. I tried again and again and again but each and every time it would do the same noise. Even today the as I am typing this the lens are still extracted. I can not return it to the store because I don not know what store it came from! I did some research and there are other people who have had there camera do this too.Over all this camera is great. But be prepared to go return it or buy a new one.
