"Great camera, lousy battery."
Pros: Great pictures, lots of modes.
Cons: Very short battery life.
Summary: I like the camera but the battery really sucks. It seems like every time I fire it up the battery low indicator is already flashing. Compared to my old Olympus with four AA NiMH batteries I would say this has maybe one-tenth the battery life. Granted, the 4 AAs are a lot heavier than the little NB-2L LI-ION that comes with the Canon, but it's a tradeoff I'd gladly make. I just ordered an aftermarket battery that is supposed to be 1200 mA-Hr vs. the 570 - 720 mA-Hr (depending on who you believe) of the Canon brand battery. I'll believe it when I see it, but it can't be any worse and the price was less than half the price of the Canon brand. Give me a camera that takes AAs (preferably four of them) any day.
