"What about the lenses?"
3.0 starson by jay.butlerPros: Good review of the camera body
Cons: What about the glass?
Summary: Cameras are about the glass. Why does this review only mention that this will help Pentax lens sales. What about the Samsung and Pentax lenses? Are they good quality? Are there a good selection of focal lenghts and speeds?
IMHO, selection of a camera in the flim days was 90% lens and 10% camera body. In the digital era, it might shift a bit more toward the camera body. But, it is still the lens that bends the light.
I am sure that the body is as good as the reviewer states. Please mention the lens systems in DSLR reviews.

Jay,<br>I've used Pentax cameras since the mid 1960s. I still have every lens I ever bought. When the Kmount came out I purchased a converter. I still use my M42 50mm f1.4, 105 f2.8, 300 f 4.0, my close up rings, my teleconverter and my M42 to K converter on my ist DS. In addition I have an assortment of K lenses from Pentax and Sigma. Pentax class is equal to or better than anyone's out there. They just don't toot their horn.

The Samsung uses the Pentax lens mount which is the most widely used lens mount ever produced and is found on lenses made by literally dozens of lens manufacturers as well as the top-notch lenses Pentax makes. Popular Photography (July, 2006 issue) points out in its review of this camera, Pentax estimates there are twenty-four million lenses that can fit on a Pentax-mount SLR. The same issue tests and top-rates the two kit lenses Pentax makes for their DSLR cameras which include the new Samsung DSLR cameras.
