"Stylish and superior image quality" on by carlyj272
Pros: compact and light, "Smart Touch" feature, auto focus system, Advanced Shake Reducation system
Cons: Nothing, I love this camera!
Summary: I know style, and the NV10 is oozing with it. The NV10 has a metal body with a black matte finish that gives it a sleek and understated look. The NV10 is extremely compact and light which allows you to throw it into a small purse or bag. Beyond style, the camera is pretty advanced. The “Smart Touch” feature is designed to make the camera quicker and easier to use so you don’t miss your shot because you’re messing around with complicated buttons. The NV10’s autofocus system, Advanced Shake Reduction system, and Schneider lens with a 3X optical zoom, all work to give you a razor-sharp photo. I was blown away by the image quality. The NV10 is excellent in quality and price and it doesn’t hurt that it is chic and gorgeous to look at.

"Great pictures, but won't be getting another Samsung" on by dsntos
Pros: Great 10-megapixel quality, great physical design.
Cons: Not responsive enough, poor speaker placement.
Summary: The Samsung NV10 comes with two rechargeable Li-ion batteries and it can be charged though the plug-in adapter or USB connection. I do like the X and Y axis interface about this camera. It takes great pictures, but the speed of this camera is kind of slow. I rather catch the moment than have a quality image that has missed it all. I used to have a Cannon Powershot and it was a lot more speedy in taking pictures. I could just whip out the camera, turn it on and snap it. For the NV10 I have the wait for it to boot up, if dark the flash has to flick up and the slowest part of all, for the camera to give the GO to taking your photo.
The video recorder's microphone placement is placed in the lower right, where the hand would usually be. When I first used the recorder I thought something was wrong with it, but it was just my hand over the mic. Also, when you zoom while recording the sound gets muted for the whole time you where zooming. Worst part of all.
The body is pretty tough. I had dropped it on large gravel rocks and it was still pristine. The screen is pretty vulnerable to anything. I had it in my pocket with nothing else, not even in the case it came with, and it got a little scratch on the screen. -
"Great Pictures" on by marpole
Pros: Small size, good pics
Cons: Misplaced microphone
Summary: I like my camera. It takes great pics and video but I would not buy it again because of the microphone placement. The microphone is on the front of the camera just below the right side of the lens. This is the place where most people hold the camera. You must be very careful when taking video not to cover the microphone.

"GREAT CAMERA. NOT ALWAYS USER FRIENDLY." on by NYNEWSGUY
Pros: NICE, SOLID BODY. IMPRESS-YOUR-FRIENDS GADGETRY. GOOD PICTURES IF YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT SETTING.
Cons: THE TOUCH SYSTEM FOR THE FUNCTIONS SEEMS COOL AT FIRST, BUT CAN BE FRUSTRATING ON THE FLY. I HAVE ACCIDENTALLY BULK ERASED IMAGES TWICE.
Summary: GOOD CAMERA. JUST SHORT OF GREAT. THE AUTO MODE SHOULD DO A BETTER JOB ADJUSTING FOR LIGHT, EXPOSURE AND FOCUS, BUT IN MIXED LIGHT, YOU OFTENTIMES NEED TO MAKE MANUAL ADJUSTMENTS AND DO MULTIPLE TEST SHOTS TO GET THE PERFECT SETTING.

"A must have camera for those looking" on by geo504
Pros: great image quality, great features and stylish
Cons: learning curve for the buttons
Summary: Anyone looking for a compact, stylish and feature rich camera look no further. I just got mine last week and am totally impressed. I had canons, casio, minolta and sony cameras before and this one is my favorite so far. The only negative i found is the numerous buttons takes a little while to get used to, but once you learn it things are very easy to change.
