"Best point-and-shoot for someone looking for manual features"4.5 starson by jimprosser
Pros: Love the interface; high degree of manual controls; quality lens;
Cons: Not as sleek as a Canon Digital ELPH; interface has a slight learning curve
Summary: Got this camera recently at a great deal to replace an aging Canon. I was looking for something portable (the criteria being that it had to fit in my jeans pocket and not look circumspect to concert security) that had manual controls, high ISO, 30 fps movies that would continue until my card filled up, and image stabilization. After looking at a lot of Canons, the Nikon P5100, and this one, it was clear to me that the Samsung fit the bill best. I've been very pleased with it. Maybe I don't have as sharp an eye, but I haven't noticed the noise at higher ISOs being that much of a problem, probably because I'm not really making prints and end up downsizing most of my images anyways.
