"Best bang for your buck!"
Pros: Schneider lens, fast shutter speed, ISO 1600, 5x optical zoom, Price!
Cons: Could do a bit better on the design
Summary: This camera is awesome. I am personally a Canon guy. I love their SD line up, but it's just a bit too pricey for me. So, I took a look at the Samsung digital camera line up and this one was a winner! The S850 has the Schneider-Kreuznach which is one of the best lens' on the market. I personally think it's better than Sony's Carl Zeiss lens in terms of quality and performance. This camera has fast shutter speed and is capable of ISO 1600 just like the Canon SD camera's but it's advantage is the 5x optical zoom(Canon only 3x). Another advantage of this camera over others is the Intelligent Face Recognition Technology. I love how it automatically recognizes a persons face and automatically adjusts auto focus and auto exposure. So, high quality lens, extremely fast shutter speed, ISO 1600, 5x optical zoom, and price! I bought this camera at CircuitCity.com for under 200 dollars, including tax and S/H. Nearly 200 bucks less than if I were to have bought a Canon. I love it. The reason why I give it a 9 and not a 10 is because I admit.. the design isn't the nicest, coolest, sleekest design for a camera, (though it is very slim). But then again, I am not one to pay 200 dollars more simply for a prettier looking camera. This camera has everything you need at a price you can afford. OH! and it's also vista compatible and the new 4gb SD memory cards have no problems.
